Accessibility
Last updated: September 29, 2026
We want this site to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, a zoomed-in screen, or a setting that turns off animation.
What we aim for
The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We don’t use “accessibility overlay” widgets; we’d rather build the pages properly.
What we’ve done
- Every page works with a keyboard. A “Skip to the content” link comes first, and you can always see where you are.
- Text and colors meet the contrast guidelines in both the dark and the light theme. Every pair of text and background colors is checked by a script whenever a color changes.
- Pages are built with plain, labeled structure: headings in order, labeled menus, and form fields with their labels, hints and error messages tied to them.
- Animation respects your system’s “reduce motion” setting. With it on, nothing moves. The moving picture at the top of the home page also has a “Pause animation” button.
- Zooming up to 400% and larger text keep everything readable, without scrolling sideways.
- The pages and both forms work without JavaScript, except the “Show phone number” button, which needs it to put our number together. Email always works.
- Automated checks (axe) run on every page, in both themes, before changes go live.
What isn’t perfect yet
- The pictures of the chain and of the three computers are decoration: what they show is also said in the text.
- The remote help page and the page our business cards open are in English only.
