About Octachain
An IT company in Los Angeles, running for about five years. We set up and fix the computers, networks, email and files of small businesses, medical offices included.
Who answers
We're a small company. The person who answers your call is the person who fixes it.
Why there's no name or photo here
We're privacy people. Even about ourselves. You'll hear the name on the first call.
Where the name comes from
Octa means eight. Office IT comes down to eight things, from the computers on the desks to the way your team works, and they hold up best when they're chained together properly. That's how we set them up.
Who built this site
We did, with Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic. Claude wrote the code and helped write the words. We made the decisions, and nothing goes live until we've read and approved it.
How we like to work
The whole office, not one piece
Office IT is often a mix: something a relative set up, something a vendor put in for one program. We look at all of it together.
Your data on your hardware
We run our own business on our own servers, not someone else's cloud. We can set yours up the same way, if you want it.
Plain answers
Ask before you decide anything. We'll tell you what we'd do, and what isn't worth your money.
Work that lasts
Most clients call us for a job, then don't need us again for years. That's the idea. So far, every new client has found us through someone they know.
Who we work with
Small businesses of every kind. Many are medical offices, and we set things up with HIPAA in mind. Individuals too: a home network, a private phone, a laptop that needs a clean-up. Most of the work is on-site in LA County; clients farther away get remote help, or we travel.
